My good friend and fellow author Jeff Rivera is a man of many talents, including being a reporter for GalleyCat News. Jeff recently attended Literati-A-Go-Go, hosted at the Whiskey Town Bar in New York. This is the second year for this event and it has attracted many in the book industry plus booklovers themselves.
"GalleyCat was given an exclusive look inside of the 2nd Literati-A-Go-Go event of the year. Literary agent, Donna Bagdasarian, Former PW VP & Publisher, David Nudo, VP of Wikimedia New York City, Inc., David Shankbone and acclaimed author, John Reed hosted the packed mixed media and book publishing event." --Jeff Rivera

Hi Cheryl,
Literati-A-Go-Go is not an annual event, but a roving party. The idea behind is that we don’t want it to be strictly books and publishing. Everything is changing and the arts are cross-collaborating like never before. Imagine, if you will, a literary site that has audio and they need to pay a singer to do a quick tune whenever someone clicks on a link. Imagine you’re an illustrator, and someone needs a story illustrated. Media and art is going in these directions. Literati-A-Go-Go wants all of us to have a place to mix, mingle, and discover each other’s creative talents. You just never know how they may be of use to someone else. And you never know if you might just walk out with a new friend :-)
Hi David:
Thanks for stopping by my blog. :-)
"Roving party" does sound like more fun than an annual event. lol
And I sure agree with cross-collaboration. I've found that music, art and literature mix exceptionally well.
I wish I'd been there. Maybe next time.
Thanks for dropping by.
Cheryl
