Thanks for taking us through your experiment. I am on day 20 of my own 90 KDP Select experiment, however mine is a non fiction budget travel e-booklet. It's slow going but I am making more sales. 70 days to go :0)

Though nonfiction is harder to sell, it's not impossible to get thousands of downloads and great after sales. Word of warning: don't judge Select and free promos based on October or Novembers results. These are often low sales months as people prepare for Christmas. You should see a rise in numbers over Christmas and if you do a free promo sometime between December 24-January 10th, you should see momentum roll over throughout January and possibly into February. Good luck with your book and your freebie promotion in December. They key to big numbers is exposure to readers so tweet, FB, blog etc. Advertise on free sites or inexpensive sites that cater to READERS. Use tweet teams like WLC to leverage your time and efforts. Good luck!
